I agree with many of the above, I'll add:
DMFAAKA Dan and Mab's Fabulous Adventures, this comic is probably my favorite. A lighthearted comedy with some drama-but even then there's a good amount of comedy. Mainly about a group of friends that hang out at the same place, the Lost Lake Inn.
Note: Amber also write a side-arc meant to be a background story of one of the main characters, Abel. Not meant to be a comedy, this dark side of the comic is just as great with drama and tragedy.
Menage a 3"Threesome" in French, this hilarious comic is NSFW. If you loved the original artist of Penny and Aggie, this is her main project. It starts when Gary's two gay roommates move out and he replaces them with a crazy bi rocker chick and a naive but beautiful French women. Giz (The artist) also draws another comic, Eerie Cuties, though I think this is the first project where she writes the story alone (She helped T of P&A and co-writes Menage).
JackProbably the most touching/dramatic comic I've ever seen. It's on a slight hiatus now, but the archieves are worth reading and rereading. Jack is the reaper of this world and the stories of morals, tragedy, death, and life.
Of course, I read many more than these but these were my own top three choices without mentioning any of the above.
