Another issue is her advice so far, seems to be the same advice Fitz gave unless I'm wrong (minus the crystal bit). Maybe this woman's letting her beliefs cause students to have to climb Mt. Everest just to get in to see her has jaded me to her; but I'm waiting to see. After all Fitz did imply the school faculty had words with this woman about her beliefs getting in the way of work.

She totally failed to prepare the entire effing class (class as in "Class of 20XX" not "the Art 101 class") about what they would need to do to get into their majors and succeed academically.

She makes it almost impossible to get ahold of her.

And now her advice is "More figure drawing"? She hasn't answered any of Candi's questions.

Why has this woman not been fired?

I'd try to get in touch with the teachers that actually focus on that major as well. Fitz seems to be all Traditional, so he might have an idea if the advice is sound- but I doubt he's totally aware of what the people who let people into her major judge on.

Has Candi actually asked her any of those questions? It looks to me like they just started. Which might also be why she hasn't given specific advice yet: they haven't got into the specifics. It's also possible that some of Candi's questions were answered by the FAQ packet Ellen put out so now it's unnecessary to ask them. Given that this is the first strip of the arc, maybe we should see how things shake out before deciding that Ellen is useless even when she's not unreachable.
