That makes a lot of sense and isn't disrespectful of the belief. :3 Awesome!

*shrug* Crystals, rabbits foot, whatever. Psychosomatic interaction is a real part of medicine *and* surgery. I have known patients to die that were cnvinced they wouldn't make it, and patients live and go home healthy whom nobody thought had a chance.
There was a little girl who had a little curl
Right in the middle of her forehead,
When she was good, she was very, very good,
But when she was bad, she was horrid!

I like Emily's last sentence there. I get the feeling she's a little less understanding of Ellen's beliefs than she lets on.

I hate to say this, but although I find nothing wrong with anything that was said in this strip, I find myself losing interest in this story arc after today. It's not dead but my interest is significantly reduced for some reason. Meh.

I do think I like Emily as a character but I'm kind of ready for this particular story to get going and over with. This isn't meant as criticism toward Starline's work but personally, it's just not doing anything for me.

I know where you're coming from. And I think you won't have to wait very long, because this feels like the denouement of the storyline. We'll be on to something new shortly.

As soon as I read it, I was like 'oh, snap!' as it seemed like a direct jab at Ellen.

Agreed. It's laying the groundwork for something later on, but that will be quite some time I think. If nothing else it prepared people for just how big a deal it is being accepted into the program dealing with the area of their choice is for art students. I put it in parallel with how important passing the qualifiers for grad students in the sciences. Which is a big deal.

Well, that was a fairly sensible answer. Now that this conflict has been resolved for now, let's see what's going on with other characters. I wonder if Linda is still being an idiot.
This is the moment, the very instant, that we've all been waiting for/ No stupid gimmicks or Halloween tricks/ Let's get together and number our sores.

I feel as though the last few pages kinda exemplifies an issue I have with the format lately. The dialog completely swallows up the entire page, the characters are tiny and squished into the bottom or corners as afterthoughts when they should be the driving force rather than little illustrations to dot the sentences with.

I feel like if she really can't fit in the comic art into her comic then maybe she should think about changing the format. Does the comic need to be this particular shape and size?

In the last 3 months all that has happened is Candi and some random blondegirl walked into an office and then walked out of an office. I know this is a long running comic that moves slowly, I've been reading it since 2006. But this feels like it's just too little happening. There's no prank wars or love triangles or squirrel wars or randomly dark kidnapping or breakups or... anything really. Nothing's happening..

Sorry, I know this is rambling off of my original point. It's just that the last few months have really made me start to question what it is I read this comic for, besides just habit.
