Yes, yes, and yes. That is definitely a bit of a blush.

Though I am a bit confused with his angle of, "For you to try this." He obviously has a plan I cannot yet divine.

My guess would be it's either a milk-free coffee that he thinks she'd enjoy, or some type of candy-themed sweet drink that reminded him of her.

Either way, I think it's adorable that he's got her on his mind. And he's definitely blushing in a sweet way.

I like panel four. Chris's expression is adorable.

I am curious what Candi will do. This is getting into a 'trust' issue. My mom always taught me, "Don't accept drinks from people that you don't know what it is" and/or "Never leave a drink unattended" (or alternately, don't drink one that has been). Now I don't think he's done anything wrong here. He doesn't seem the type to slip her a roofie or spit in the drink, but I don't know if Chris knows about her lactose intolerance? Candi has trust issues, and this is a curious exercise in that aspect of her personality.

You know, I took another look at the strip and now no longer think that's it coffee, or a hot beverage. I had thought that because it looked like there were "vapor trails" wafting up from the top of the cup; but on further examination, I now think those are supposed to be wrinkles in Chris' shirt.

Chances are, the next strip will start with Candi asking what the drink is, and Chris explaining. So I'm pretty sure that question will be answered fast. The real question is, what exactly are Chris' intentions? I'm actually expecting him to be mostly gentlemanly.

That got me thinking it could quite easily be related to his character. Chris seems to have a reason for everything he does at the moment.

It doesn't look like a coffee place we've seen yet (I imagine Chris wouldn't want to meet her at a place they're likely to run into friends--particularly Laura--for what he likely has in mind), but I still think its a coffee place. The cup looks like the typical disposable coffee cup, and he did ask if she wanted to go out for "coffee/tea/beverage"... thus, the place must serve the stuff, even if that's not precisely what's in the cup.
