He's moving out of the house. Not the comic. :/ Doubt he's being written out completely. Don't worry.

Well, I can certainly understand her need to not talk about her freakshow brother. I can also understand his wanting to move on if can afford to do so. Hmm. I wonder who'll they get to move in....hope it's not ol'Bluehair.

Moving out would be good for him. He's still very attached to Candi and being around her all the time isn't going to help him get over her. Plus if she starts dating someone (hopefully Chris!) then it'll be an even more difficult and stressful environment for him. I'm sure he can still see everyone but it'll be good for him and his personal growth.

Well, seeing as how she has made it perfectly clear that "she is not interested in him in that way," i.e., romantically, it would be in his best interests to quit wasting his time mooning after her and move on. As Larry McMurtry put it, "There was no use in taking it that hard when a woman was uninterested in you. The thing was too common."

Or he could continue pining after her all his life.

Gross. What a disgusting and terrible way to live a life.

Honestly, I think this move for Jon is more for learning how to live on his own - I think the idea of real world responsibilities will help him stop "napping through classes" and coasting (did he even pick a major yet? IIRC he swapped between marine biology and something else?). Honestly I always figured Candi would be the first one to move out because she'd be sick of Linda weaseling in her life against her will/explicit desires and being around people who enabled that.

And what does that do for him? Does that give him a full, happy life? Jon's not my favorite character but he's not a bad guy. A lot of his mistakes can be chalked up to age and immaturity. He deserves a better life than to pine away for a woman who will never love him back. He deserves to at least have a chance to have a woman love and appreciate him back. It's healthier, all around, for him to move on. Not to mention how hard it would be on Candi knowing her friend could never have a full life because he couldn't get over her. No real woman wants that. It's sad and disturbing.

How's that gross and disgusting?

And what does that do for him?

Displays his love.

Does that give him a full, happy life?

Probably not.

Jon's not my favorite character but he's not a bad guy.

How would loving Candi make him bad?

He deserves to at least have a chance to have a woman love and appreciate him back.

What if he doesn't love her as much as he does Candi?

It's healthier, all around, for him to move on. Not to mention how hard it would be on Candi knowing her friend could never have a full life because he couldn't get over her. No real woman wants that. It's sad and disturbing.

1. How's it sad and disgusting?
2. No one said she'd have to know.

Explaining why John getting a life and moving on to love another woman instead of Candi to Edward is like trying to explain it to a wall - He can't or won't understand. He could also just be screwing with everyone.

If john does move out it could be a very good thing for his growth, but it will also mean Candi will not be able lean on him emotionally. Interesting times ahead.

I'm not sure Gross and Disgusting are appropriate terms to be used in that context. Sad, lonely, painful. hopeless, even stupid perhaps. human too though. Loving someone that doesn't love you back is no major crime, and if loving Candi and trying to make her happy means more to him than his own loneliness and pain its his choice to make. Its easy to say what he should and shouldn't do from outside the equation, not so much when your the one in it. Happiness is subjective. the universe is small, petty, cruel, nasty rarely fair and quick to anger, you got to take the breaks where you can.

Edit: Jon/Jess Pairing anyone?

Ehh I don't think Jess would be okay with Jon's lusting after Candi. Jon is a bit too flighty for her too. Also personality wise they're more polar opposites than Chris/Candi. (Yes I ship but I'm even acknowledging that.)
