I really wanted to post because Jon's outfit here made me think of Cinderella's Prince (Disney)?


Or is there someone else it's supposed to look like here?
I mean I know the Sailor Moon thing from the last strip, but like, that doesn't look anything like Prince Darien- so I assume she's taken inspiration from many different sources.

Candi's dress has changed. She's not Sailor Moon anymore. Her outfit looks like Princess Peach but I'm not sure if it's supposed to be someone else (obv. Jon isn't dressed as Mario- I agree that I've got a Cinderella's Prince vibe, she may be a generic princess). Without knowing if she's supposed to be a specific character, I read it this way:

Now, rather than being the strong warrior who will fight to save her friends, she's the princess in the tower waiting for her prince. But her prince is inept. I wonder if this is commentary on how she thinks Jon sees her (Jon thinks he's her knight in shining armor and sees her as a damsel in
distress) or if this is part of how she sees herself.

I have been hoping that Candi gives Jon a second chance. I don't understand why so many on the forum don't like him. Why is that? I just see him as pining for her and trying his hardest to respect her wishes.

Because he isn't respectful to her in that she doesn't wanna be with him but he still wants to be with her anyway or some crap that people here for some reason view as a bad thing. Cursormortis is the main person against it from what I've seen.

Because he only "loves" the idea of Candi. Not the real person. He's not really respectful of her feelings and chooses to pine over someone he has absolutely no chance with AT ALL. That and he literally has no spine.

Also Starline has said that they'll NEVER GET TOGETHER. Seriously. They're just friends and are not going to be a couple EVER.

Except some people can't just CHOOSE what to and not to love and just turn that off.
